This application allows you to report earthquakes felt throughout the Costa Rican territory. You will receive notifications every time a relevant earthquake occurs, and through a questionnaire, you will know how strongly you felt the reported earthquake. By using a map of Costa Rica, you can see all the reports categorized by earthquake submitted by users of the application. Additionally, the application provides information about all the earthquakes recorded in Costa Rica through a map showing the epicenter locations and a list of the main detailed characteristics for each earthquake.

The National Seismological Network (RSN) was created through an agreement between the Section of Seismology, Volcanology, and Geophysical Exploration of the Central American School of Geology at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and the Area of Seismological and Volcanic Threats and Monitoring of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE). Its mission is to develop scientific knowledge about the internal geodynamics of the Earth, to transfer it to Costa Rican society through teaching and social action, so that it can be applied in risk management plans, territorial planning, and emergency response in Costa Rica.
